storybird.com, littlebirdtales.com

Storybird.com allows users to design, write, and share online storybooks. The interface is very simple allowing students of all ages to start writing within minutes. It helps to watch to the tutorial video on the website.
Basically, students place illustrations in a digital storybook and add their own text. Students can work together and undergo several revisions to arrive at a final products.
Because this site is very user-friendly and simple, I would recommend it for younger users (elementary school). Storybird.com is unique in that students can order print-versions of their own creations. Also, this site allows teachers to manage student work with "class accounts".

In making this site user-friendly, it has limited many creative options. For example, students cannot upload their own drawings or photos for their own stories. In this way, students may lose interest using pictures that they did not create themselves. However, for some, this may provide needed guidance to get students writing.

Overall, this is a great site worth exploring. Its limited, so younger students may appreciate it the most. http://littlebirdtales.com/ Step 1- Create or upload your artwork to each page. Step 2-Record your voice and add text to each page. Step 3-Email friends and family your finished book.
